Holiday
We will be closed April 9-13 for Spring Break.
Art
Sadly, Jill is no longer able to work at OMS. Little children can be exhausting, as you know, and it is time to move on. Fortunately Chandelle had been working with her and will continue to implement Jill’s program. Diana will assist her. They will also work with the toddlers in the art room. We plan to do something special for Jill after the break.
Please help OMS needs to come into the age of the internet.
We need reviews on Yelp, Savvy Source and Berkeley Parent Network. If you go to these sites there will be instructions for you to follow on to post a review. Our reviews are very old.
We also are on Facebook. This is very exciting because all of the OMS teachers can post. Go there and like us. IF YOU WANT TO OPT OUT OF HAVING YOUR CHILD’S PICTURE ON FACEBOOK YOU MUST LET US KNOW. I hope this will be a fun way to let you know about the wonders of your child’s day.
Parent’s Advisory Group
Our next PAG meeting is April 19 at 6:30 and one of the topics of discussion will be how OMS handles care during the breaks. Another, parent-OMS communications and parent development. With visits to other schools and conference workshops our heads are filled with ideas and we would also like to hear yours.
Out of town?
We have a new, very important feature on the attendance sheet. There is box by your child’s name/line at the extreme right of the page. Please check it if one of the parents is out of town. This will be helpful because we notice differences, small or great, associated with such absences and the children can’t quite communicate such absences.
